PUMPA Application Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to the Pumpa application, website, and subscription services (“Application/Services”) operated by Yaclass Tech Private Limited, Chennai, India (CIN: U80302TN2019PTC132261) (“Company”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account, booking a free demo, or subscribing, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1) Data We Collect

Mandatory (to register/demo/subscribe): name, mobile number, email, password, class/grade, board.
Optional: gender, school, city, profile photo, parent/guardian details.
Automatic: device/browser info, IP, usage logs, cookies/SDK data.
Payments: payment method tokens and transaction info via our PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways; we do not store full card/UPI credentials.
Third-party logins (Google/Facebook etc.): we receive profile data as per their policies and your settings.

2) How We Use Your Data (Lawful Purposes)

To call/WhatsApp/SMS/email you to schedule free demos, confirm bookings, share mentor/tutor details, and manage after-demo follow-ups.
To deliver and improve online classes, tests, reports, mentor support, and customer care.
To manage subscriptions, invoices, refunds, and support.
To send service notices, security alerts, and product updates.
Marketing: with consent, send offers and use selected live class excerpts, testimonials, and outcomes in marketing (minors only with parent/guardian consent).
Prevent fraud, enforce terms, comply with law.

3) Consent to Sales Calls and Messages (Important)

When you submit your mobile number (sign-up, lead form, WhatsApp, or demo booking), you consent to receive calls, WhatsApp messages, and SMS from our advisors to help schedule demos, explain plans, and complete enrollment.

You can withdraw consent anytime by replying STOP on SMS/WhatsApp or emailing support@yaclass.in; we’ll honour it promptly while still sending service-critical messages (payments, class links, security).

We maintain verifiable consent records and comply with TRAI preference systems and DND.

4) Children’s Data and Parental Consent

Our Services are intended for students; if under 18, a parent/guardian must provide or authorise consent, including for demo booking, class participation, and any marketing use of recordings/testimonials. Parents can review or delete their child’s data.

5) Sharing of Data

We do not sell personal data. We share minimal data with:

Tutors/mentors and authorised staff under confidentiality;
Service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, communications, payment processors);
Government/authorities when legally required.

6) Cookies and Similar Tech

We use cookies/SDKs for login, analytics, and performance. You can restrict cookies in settings; some features may not work.

7) Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, logging, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure.

8) Data Retention and Deletion

Active accounts: retained for your use.
Inactive profiles: deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
Financial/transaction records: kept as required by Indian law.
Recordings/support threads/claims: kept only as long as needed for legal or business purposes; then deleted or anonymised.

9) Your Rights (DPDP Act)

You may access, correct, withdraw consent, and request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations. Requests are processed without undue delay. You may also nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf if required by law.

10) User Responsibilities

Keep your login secure, supervise minors’ use, and avoid posting sensitive data publicly. We may restrict access for misuse or rights violations.

12) Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in-app/email. The “Effective” date shows the latest version.
