Animals don't have plasmalemmacell wallsgolgi bodiesplasmodesmata.  As a result, in animals, as opposed to plants, the movement of substances within the cells is easierthe movement of substances within the cells is difficultthe movement of substances within the cells is strainingthe movement of substances within the cells is not possible. Plants have an additional layer of protection because their cell walls make the movement of substances difficult.
