4.
Write the construction for the given figure
Question:
4
m.
Choose the correct construction for the figure whose measurements are \(AB = 10 \ cm\), \(BC = 6 \ cm\), and \(AC = 7 \ cm\).
The
construction
for the given figure is:
Step - 1:
Draw line segment AB = 7 cm.
Draw line segment AB = 6 cm.
Draw line segment AB = 10 cm.
Step - 2:
With B as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 7 cm.
With A as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 7 cm.
With C as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 7 cm.
Step -3:
With B as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 6 cm, such that it intersects the previous arc at C.
With B as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 6 cm, such that it intersects the previous arc at A.
With B as the centre, construct a sufficiently long arc of radius 7 cm, such that it intersects the previous arc at B.
Step - 4:
Join AC and AB to get the required triangle ΔABC.
Join AC and BC to get the required triangle ΔABC.
Join AB and BC to get the required triangle ΔABC.
