Question:

m.
To construct a perfect square \(ABCD\) on paper with a given base side length \(AB = 5\text{ cm}\) , a student first draws the segment \(AB\).
Which set of operations will accurately establish the missing upper vertices \(D\) and \(C\)?
Find the midpoint of \(AB\) and draw a circle with a radius of \(5\text{ cm}\).
Construct a \(90^\circ\) perpendicular line at vertex \(A\) and vertex \(B\), then use a compass set to \(5\text{ cm}\) to cut arcs on these perpendicular lines to locate points \(D\) and \(C\).
Draw an arc of \(5\text{ cm}\) from \(A\) at an arbitrary angle to find \(D\), then connect it to \(B\).
Construct a \(60^\circ\) angle at \(A\) and a \(120^\circ\) angle at \(B\), then mark points at \(5\text{ cm}\).
