Orthocenter construction
3.
TBQ - Construct a triangle with 3 sides
Question:
5
m.
Answer variants:
Draw \(\Delta PQR\) with sides \(PQ = 7 \ cm\), \(QR = 8 \ cm\) and \(PR = 5 \ cm\) and construct its orthocentre.
Given
:
\(PQ = 7 \ cm\), \(QR = 8 \ cm\) and \(PR = 5 \ cm\)
To find
:
The orthocentre of the triangle \(PQR\).
Step 1
:
Draw the triangle \(PQR\) using the measurements \(PQ = 7 \ cm\), \(QR = 8 \ cm\) and \(PR = 5 \ cm\)
The point of intersection of the altitude \(H\) is the orthocentre of the triangle \(PQR\).
Construct the atltitudes from any two vertices (say) \(R\) and \(P\), to their opposite sides \(PQ\) and \(QR\), respectively
Step 2:
The point of intersection of the altitude \(H\) is the orthocentre of the triangle \(PQR\).
Draw the triangle \(PQR\) using the measurements \(PQ = 7 \ cm\), \(QR = 8 \ cm\) and \(PR = 5 \ cm\)
Construct the atltitudes from any two vertices (say) \(R\) and \(P\), to their opposite sides \(PQ\) and \(QR\), respectively.
The point of intersection of the altitude \(H\) is the orthocentre of the triangle \(PQR\)
