m.
Answer the following question:
What is a solenoid? Describe the magnetic field produced by a current-carrying solenoid.
A solenoid is a
coil of many circular turns of insulated copper wire wound closely in the shape of a cylinder
coil of a few turns of bare aluminium wire wound loosely
single straight wire made of uninsulated copper
single circular turn of insulated copper wire
.
When current flows through the solenoid, it
produces no magnetic field around or inside
produces a magnetic field around and inside
produces a magnetic field only outside the coil
produces a magnetic field only inside the coil
the coil.
The magnetic field inside the solenoid is
non-uniform and is represented by parallel straight field lines
zero and is represented by no field lines
uniform and is represented by parallel straight field lines
non-uniform and is represented by curved field lines
