1. A plotting compass is placed to the side of a bar magnet, not along its axial line. The pointer will:

Point along the length of the magnet
Point randomly
Align tangentially to the curved magnetic field lines
Point directly towards a pole

2. Two magnetic field lines:

Intersect at the neutral point
Intersect near north-pole or south pole
Intersect at the midpoint of the magnet
Never intersect each other
