(iii) With the items, carry out the activity to identify the cells that are working.

  • Six cells (A, B, C, D, E, F)
  • A small  (or LED)
  • Two connecting wires
(ii) Write the procedure that you will follow.
Connect one at a time to the bulb using the wires. Make sure the two of the cell are properly connected to the bulb. Observe whether the bulb or not. Repeat the same steps for all six cells one by one.
 
(iii) With the items, carry out the activity to identify the cells that are working.
If the bulb glows, the cell is .
If the bulb , the cell is not working.
By testing each cell in this way, we can identify which cells are working and which are not.
